Amazon S3/Cloudfront bucket providing "Unable to check if <img> exists" error when uploading an asset
Check what region you created bucket versus what you have configured locally. I typically use us-east-1 (N. Virginia) but I didn't notice AWS console had defaulted to us-east-2 (Ohio).
