I was under the impression if I set this config in my general config it'll delete my db sql dumps in my storage folder when i hit my limit. I set it to two to test and did a few backups and I already have 5 with the older ones still there. Just wanted to see if that is the purpose of this config? And if not is there a built in way for craft to remove sql backup files in the storage folder older than 'x' days?

'maxBackups' => 2,

  • Just tested this locally on a fresh Craft install using and it's working as expected for me. Maybe you set it in the wrong place in a multi-environment config? docs.craftcms.com/v3/config/… – Brad Bell Jun 2 at 21:07
